Access Statement
Pre-Arrival
- There is a regular bus service from Padstow’s Old Railway Station to surrounding places, including one every hour to Bodmin Parkway
- Bodmin Parkway, being the nearest railway station, is approx 17 miles from Padstow
- The nearest airport is Newquay airport approx 16 miles from Padstow 01637 860600
- There are several local taxis services e.g. 01841 532384 mob: 07929 136828
Arrival/Departure & Car Parking Facilities
- A local map on the back cover of our brochure/website giving precise location of the cottages
- • Changeover day is Saturday for both cottages
- Your cottage will be ready for you after 3pm on day of arrival – please do not arrive before 3pm as time is needed to service the cottages following the previous departure.
- There is off road parking for one car per cottage in front of the properties – as you drive in parking for School Cottage is to the left and Sunday Cottage to the right
- For additional cars, further parking can be found around the town and local car parks
- Cottages must be vacated by 10am on day of departure (Saturday)
- The town, shops, restaurants, harbour etc. are 5 mins away.
- The coastal path can be reached on foot 10 mins away
- An excellent source of local info. at The Tourist Information Centre in the Red Brick building, North Quay.
- Should you wish to organise a ‘Tesco delivery’ the post code is PL28 8AP
Sunday Cottage - Access
- The front door is 80cm wide with one step up 26cm high
- Five steps up to the 1st level with master bedroom
- Staircase up to 2nd level with twin room and bathroom
- Bathroom has bath and separate shower cubicle
School Cottage - Access
- Through the gate in the wall (90cm wide)
- Wide pathway of slate slabs leading to foot of steps to main entrance
- Five steps (each step 18cm high) up to main door (97cm wide)
- Inside, five steps lead up to 1st level with sitting room, and spacious cloakroom with step over entrance
- Staircase up to 2nd level with 2 bedrooms and family bathroom
- Bathroom has bath and separate shower room
- Each bedroom has ample wardrobe space
